There are a couple of challenges I faced throughout the course of this semester. One challenge being my technique with the ultrasonic. I had been doing an efficient job on the direct surfaces of each tooth but struggled with using the instrument properly inter-proximally. Luckily I was able to catch this early on in the semester and was able to make it my main goal to critique my technique and improve it. Another challenge I faced this semester was dental charting. I found that no matter how many times I did this in clinic I was not all that confidence in my ability to dental chart. I struggled knowing where to find things on Dentrix as well as identifying the restorations in person. Although with some practice and assistance with my professors I was able to start to feel more confident in my ability to dental chart.
